With increasing traffic in the city, the most affected other than the commuter, is the patient lying in an ambulance. While there have been some initiatives by traffic police in the city, HOSMAT Hospital is taking a step further by arranging a signature campaign on the occasion of World Trauma Day, which is today.
According to M N Anil Kumar, public relations of HOSMAT, the initiative is a follow-up on their earlier activity, when a rally was conducted in association with the Bangalore Traffic Police on MG Road. “We will have one ambulance stationed at Garuda Mall, while another will start from Press Club and move to High Court, Vidhana Soudha, and MG road, mainly seeking commuters to sign their willingness to make way for the ambulance. A 10-minute delay on their part can save a life, that is the message we want to send across,” he said.
