Ban on liquor for Dasara

In view of processions at Neelasandra, Bazaar Street, Anepalya and surrounding areas as part of Dasara festival on Wednesday, the police commissioner has ordered closure of all wine stores, bars and pubs falling under the jurisdiction of Ashoknagar police station from 6 am on Wednesday to 6 am on Thursday.

Also, as a procession is planned at Dasara Mantap ground in JC Nagar.

He has ordered closure of wine stores, bars and pubs falling under the jurisdiction of J C Nagar, R T Nagar, Sanjaynagar, Hebbal, D J Halli, KG Halli, Bharathinagar and Frazer Town police stations from 6 am on Wednesday to 6 am on Thursday.

Banks Closed Today and Tomorrow

All public sector banks in the city will remain closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.

B S Ravindra, State Convenor, Banking Union said, “We will be closed for Ayudha Pooja and Vijayadashmi.”

The banks will function on Thursday and Friday. They will be closed again for Bakrid on Saturday.
