Passenger alights from moving bus, run over

Four people, including a woman, were killed in separate accidents in the city since Tuesday.

Chandankumar, 20, a construction worker at Yelahanka was killed on the spot after a BMTC bus ran over him near Kurubarahalli bus stand on Tuesday. He was a native of Bihar.

Chandankumar was travelling in the bus. He lost balance and came under the wheels when he alighted the bus before it stopped. The International Airport traffic police registered a case.

In another incident, Munirathnamma, 32, of Bommanahalli, died after a speeding car knocked her down at Singasandra on Tuesday morning.

A homemaker, Munirathnamma, had gone for shopping. A speeding car knocked her down while trying to cross the road near Singasandra Junction.

The car driver rushed  her to Victoria Hospital, but the doctors declared her brought dead. The Electronics city traffic police have registered a case.

Prashant, 21, a final year diploma student, died on the spot after a water tanker knocked him down at Church Road in Rajajinagar on Wednesday.

A resident of Rajajinagar, Prashanth had gone to his uncle’s house where the water tanker had come to supply water. As he was standing behind the tanker, the driver, who did not notice him,  took a reverse and crushed Prashanth to death. Fearing public wrath, the driver fled.

Nanjundaiah, 50, a construction worker, died after a speeding bike hit him on Kodichikkanahalli Main Road on Wednesday.

Nanjundaiah, a resident of Rotary Nagar, was crossing the road when the bike knocked him down. He was admitted to a hospital, where he died.
