The High Court Judge expressing his concern over the mindset of corrupt officials on Friday observed that, “There is no difference between Kasab and greedy officers.
” The Judge while hearing the case relating to violation of building by-laws said, “Do you (corrupt officers) have any affection towards the country? Kasab sudutane, neevu janara duddu nungteera (Kasab kills and you officers swallow people’s money).
” Nagaraj, a resident of Yeswantpur had filed a petition alleging the his neighbour was constructing a house by violating the building by-laws and sanction plan.
He further sought action against the officer who sanctioned the plan.
The court directed the BBMP to demolish the building and retain it as per sanction plan.
It also ordered to recover the cost of demolition through arrears of land revenue to be paid towards his property
