Obaid wanted to kill Hyderabad corporators

Obaid-Ur-Rehman, who was arrested by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths in Hyderabad on Friday night, was produced before 1st ACMM Magistrate on Saturday.

He has been remanded in police custody till September 15. Meanwhile, the police said the terror suspects had conspired to kill two corporators and one prominent leader of Hindu organisation in Hyderabad. The police have so far seized one foreign made 7.65 mm pistol along with seven cartridges, 16 mobile phones, eight SIMs, four debit cards, three pen drives, two laptops, a Hero Honda Splendor, a dagger, seven Jihadi books and a cash of Rs 1,500.

A special team has been constituted to investigate this case, City Police Commissioner Mirji stated.
