A treat for art lovers

The coming week will be a treat for art enthusiasts. The exhibition of contemporary Indian paintings will be held at Art Corridor, The Taj West End from September 8  (10.30 am to 1.30 pm).

The event titled 'Art for Concern', was for the first time organised in 2003 and since then it has been an annual feature in the city. Considering the works that are displayed from all over the country, the art exhibition attracts art buyers from all the southern states.

The exhibition will showcase the finest collection of 70 paintings by 45 eminent as well as upcoming artists from across the country.

The artists who will be participating in the exhibition include Akbar Padamsee, Jogen Chowdhury, Vrindavan Solanki, T Vaikuntam, Suhas Ray, A V Ilango , G Subramaniam, Ajay De and S G Vasudev.

The proceeds from the exhibition will be utilised by Concern India Foundation to work towards its objective of making every disadvantaged individual self-reliant thereby enabling him or her to lead a life of dignity.
