A 44-year-old man committed suicide by jumping into Ulsoor Lake in the wee hours of Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as G Kumar, a technical support staffer at HP. According to the police, the incident came to light when his father Jnanavelu found his suicide note which stated that his body will be found in the Ulsoor Lake.
In the note, he had alleged that he has taken this extreme step due to financial losses.
His wife Usha, however, claimed that he had invested huge money in a chit fund business and was fed up with some money lenders, who were harassing him to repay the money, the police added.
In another incident, a 24-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging at his residence at Janapriya Apartment in Yelahanka New Town. The deceased has been identified as Bharath, a trainee at IBM. He was under depression from a few months, the police said.
