Sensationalism of terror suspects condemned

Minority Vikas Manch has condemned the hype and sensationalism of the terror suspects, who were arrested by the police recently,  in the media.

Addressing a press conference, president of the Manch Sharyar Khan said, “A hostile atmosphere has been created for the family members of the terror suspects. They may be looked down upon by the society or may even be ostracised from the society.”

Quoting an example of a TADA case, he said, “Only 2 per cent of the accused were charged and convicted.  The rest, who came out clean, had no hope as they had lost many years in jail. So, instead of giving publicity for these kind of things, the media should focus on development and educational issues.”
