The Union Shipping Ministry has appointed G Senthilvel as the financial adviser and Chief Accounts Officer of Chennai Port Trust.
Prior to his appointment, he was the chief manager (finance) of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust for more than two years and also worked as financial advisor and chief accounts officer of Kandla Port Trust. He is a cost accountant and an MBA (Finance).
He has wide experience in project management and headed the port planning and development department of JNPT, when the Capital Dredging Project of Rs 1,500 crore was awarded to Boskalis. He was involved in the construction of the Ennore Port Project.
