Labourer electrocuted, another injured

 A labourer was electrocuted and another worker sustained injuries while working at a building in Srinivasanagar on Thursday. The deceased, Meghanathan, 25, a bar bender and the injured, Armugam, 22.

According to police, the incident took place at 4.30 pm when they were working on the second floor of a building. Meghanathan accidentally came in contact with an electrical wire and was electrocuted. Armugam was shifted to a private hospital.

Woman murdered by paramour

A 32-year-old woman was murdered by her paramour, near Kengeri on Thursday. The victim has been identified as Anitha and the accused as Yugesh, 35.

According to the police, the incident came to light around 6 pm when the staff of the lodge noticed Anitha’s body and informed the police. Yugesh stabbed her and fled the scene. Anitha allegedly had an illicit relationship with Yugesh. She had not told Yugesh about her marriage
