Rowdy Bande Manja surrenders

History-sheeter Bande Manja, who was an associate of slain gangster Betthanagere Seena, surrendered before the first additional court in Bangalore Rural on Friday morning.

Bande Manja, 37, a resident of Sandekoppa was also one of the accused in the murder of BML Krishanappa. It is said that he came to the court along with his lawyer dressed as an advocate, fearing an ‘encounter’.

Seena was shot dead by police in an encounter a week ago. According to the police, Bande Manja was listed as accused number two and he was in the wanted list. SP Prakash confirmed that Manja has surrendered.

Following the death of Bettanagere Seena, the police have been looking for his other associates, who were allegedly involved in the murder case.

Recently, Venkatesh alias Aunty venkatesh, one of the accused, was arrested in BIAL by the police while he was returning from Delhi. According to sources, seven other associates, who were in the accused list will surrender before the court on Monday.
