A conference on ‘Creative Leadership Skills and Principles of Management’ was jointly organised by Visvesvaraya Technological University and Smruth and Smith Foundation here recently.
The conference was centred around developing skills that drive organisational change, creative skills and innovation.
Addressing the conference, former Chief Justice of India, Justice M N Venkatachalaiah, said, “Youth should be disciplined and they should not engage in any bad activities during their student year. They should use their students days to hone and sharpen their presentation skills. As far as the issue with management and organisation, they should run on good principles. Only then a holistic atmosphere can be achieved.”
Speaking at the conference, Dr Gerard Puccio, Department Chair and Professor at International Centre, USA, said, “Management and leadership are functions which can produce consistent results on important dimensions. Leadership is a process which brings a positive change.”
