Man dies in accident

A 32-year-old man was killed when a speeding car hit his two-wheeler and ran over him at the Big Bazaar Signal near the Sudduguntepalya in Indiranagar Traffic police limits on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Nagaraj.

According to the police, the incident occurred around 3.30 pm, when he was waiting at the signal and a speeding car, which was going towards Indiranagar rammed his bike from behind and ran over him. He sustained severe injuries and was shifted to a private hospital, where the doctors declared he was brought dead. The Indiranagar Traffic police have registered a case.

Lorry Knocks Down 12-year-old Boy

A 12-year-old boy was killed after a lorry knocked him down on Hesaraghatta Road near NH 4 in Peenya traffic police limits on Friday. The deceased, Hemant Kumar, was a fifth standard student at a private school.

According to the police, at 9 am, he was returning to his house in Alur from his aunt’s house in Havanur Extension. While crossing the road along with his aunt, a speeding lorry, knocked him down and killed him on the spot, the police said. The Peenya traffic police have registered a case and are looking for the lorry driver.

Woman Hangs Self

A 22-year-old garment worker committed suicide by hanging at her residence in HSR Layout on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Soubhagya.

According to the police, the incident came to light on Friday morning when her relative found her hanging body. She hanged herself to the ceiling in her room. The police have not found any suicide note and the reason, which led her to take this extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
