Alliance Française is conducting the next edition of its Dance DISCourse series on September 29. According to a press release issued on Friday, the organisers said that the focus of the upcoming event will be on the classical dance forms of Odissi.
"The event promises a delightful evening in store for all art lovers when leading Odissi dancers from city, including Madhulita Mohapatra, Argha Chatterjee, Vandana Supriya, Meghna Das and Shwetha Krishna will be performing complete traditional repertoire," the release said.
During the Dance DIScourse, artistes will perform Mangalacharan, followed by Battu, Pallavi and Abhinaya, and concluding with Mokshya. "They will also demonstrate and talk on varied techniques and nuances of the form," the release added.
