The state-owned Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd (KEONICS) will expand its wings to East African country the Republic of Rwanda.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed with Rwanda’s High Commissioner to India here on Tuesday. In a press release, KEONICS said would provide expertise in the field of information and communication technology (ICT) and electronics on mutually acceptable terms.
Rwanda’s High Commissioner to India Williams Nkurunziza and KEONICS Managing Director Hari Kumar Jha signed the MoU in the presence of Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar and other senior officials.
‘MoU to Provide Clear Framework’
Williams Nkurunziza described the MoU as a milestone document providing a clear framework for sectoral cooperation between the ICT sector in Rwanda and Karnataka.
With the MoU, KEONICS will provide advice and capacity building in the fields of IT, education, ITES , e-Governance solutions and other related areas.
