Talk at NGMA on art and culture

Noted filmmaker Jahnu Barua will be giving a talk on ‘Art, Culture and Social Responsibility’ at National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) at 6pm on Saturday.

He will be offering his perspectives on how we can create a climate in which films and media products are examined through the lens of ethics.

Nine time National Award winner Jahnu Barua did his post-graduation diploma in Film Direction from Film & TV Institute of India (FTII), Pune. All his films have been critically acclaimed and commercially successful.

He was conferred the Padma Shri by the President of India in 2003, and received the Kamal Kumari National Award for Culture in 2004.

The talk is open to all. However prior registration is necessary.
