An elderly couple were killed in an accident after a speeding lorry rammed into their motorcycle on Old Madras Road near Battrahalli on Thursday evening.
The deceased Krishnappa, 68, and his wife Gouramma, 60, were residents of K R Puram.
According to police, around 6 pm, the couple were returning from their daughter’s house in Hoskote. A speeding lorry, which came from behind hit them. The couple sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.
The K R Puram traffic police have registered a case. They are now looking out for the lorry driver, who escaped soon after the accident.
