Adorned with lush green lawns and aesthetically-designed buildings, HSR Club is reminiscent of the Colonial era. With shaded avenues and serene ambience instilling a sense of tranquility in every visitor; one can’t help but be mesmerised with the club’s warm and cosy interiors.  Dated back to 1992, the club has come a long way.

 “We started out in a rental house. And, today I can safely say that HSR Club is probably the only club that has seen rapid development in a short span of time,” said Rajkumar, Secretary, HSR Club.

 Brimming with social activities, the club has 1,700 members today. Striking a balance between high-profile business events and cultural programmes, it has steadily amassed a number of family-friendly, arts and culture events that appeal to both its members as well as guests.  Offering some of the finest recreational facilities, HSR club is one of the few energyconscious clubs in the city.

 “Maintaining a club of high standards require a lot of meticulous planning and execution. Keeping this in mind, we decided to carefully design each and every segment of this club,” said Kodandarama K G, President, HSR Club.

 The club has earned quite a reputation for the services and facilities they offer. These include: Restaurant and bar With state-of-the-art facilities, the restaurant and lounge bars have a sophisticated yet intimate setting. From luscious kebabs to spicy cutlets, the scrumptious delicacies offered on the menu will leave you asking for more.

 “The McDowell Signature lounge bar and Kingfisher pub are our best additions to the already rustic setting of the club. Apart from enjoying great food and ambience, one can also watch sport events on the big screen with their friends and family. The restaurant can accommodate around 150 people. Another major attraction here is the roof top garden restaurant which will be open for public on October 1,” said Linga Reddy K, Vice President, HSR Club.

 Sports and recreation The club is equipped with a swimming pool, snooker parlour, billiards room, skating arena, cards section and gymnasium for both men and women. The club members can avail these facilities at all times. Apart from these facilities, there is also a banquet hall with a seating capacity of 200. Library HSR Club has a library and reading room attached to it. However, they are yet to add their huge collection of books and periodicals.

Accommodation The club has 31 Guest rooms in all that are classified into three different categories - A/C rooms, deluxe rooms and suites. Cultural and social events The cultural programmes held in the club have been a star-studded affair. Amongst the list are The Fictitious Group of India’s Got Talent fame, Neha Kakkar (Indian Idol) and of course hordes of other celebrities including puppeteer Indushree.

 Be it musical nights or dance gala, the club has it all. The major events include the new year bash, Club Day and other sports events.  “We also organise blood donation and health camps on a regular basis. Apart from that we hold coaching camps, quiz, dance and Karate tournaments for children too,” said Praneeth P, one of the committee members.

 Upcoming projects “The plans for a squash court and bowling alley are underway. Through various activities, we would like to provide the younger generation a platform to showcase their talent,” said Rajkumar.
