The Chikkajala police have arrested a man, who was used to steal bikes and the police have recovered 18 two-wheelers worth Rs 12 lakh from him. The accused has been identified as Harsha alias Chappe, 20.
According to the police, the accused stole two-wheelers using fake keys. He had stolen 20 bikes from various places in city. After stealing the bikes he used to sell them to his friends and relatives at cheaper prices without documents.
He always wore a helmet to conceal his identity while lifting bikes, the police explained.
