Two girls end lives in separate cases

Two girls committed suicide in separate cases in the city on Tuesday. A 21-year-old BE student ended her life at her home in Girinagar while a 19-year-old girl killed herself in HSR Layout. Police, who identified the deceased BE student as Archana Patil, said she failed in two subjects last semester and, as a result, was depressed. 

Police sources said the incident took place around 8.30 pm when she was alone at home and was found hanging from the ceiling by her mother an hour later.

In the other incident, Reshma, a native of Hassan, was living with her older brother was found hanging by her brother at 11 pm. No suicide notes  were found in either cases.
