A 27-year-old youth was beaten to death by his friend after he allegedly teased a girl near his house in Nelamangala on Sunday.
The victim has been identified as Madhu alias Jackie and the accused is Lokesh alias Bali, 28.
The police said the incident took place around 2 pm when Jackie was playing cricket with his friends. Bali, along with his friends, went to the ground and questioned him about why he was frequently teasing his sister. In a fit of rage, Bali hit his head with a bat. He sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed later. Thyamagondlu police arrested Bali.
