Undertrial flees from custody

Muthuraj (25), an undertrial, on Wednesday escaped from police custody while being brought back from Tamil Nadu where he was taken for questioning in connection with a case. The accused, son of Selvaraj, made his escape near Naganathapura, only 2 km away from Parappana Agrahara prison, where he was lodged.

Around 9 pm, Muthuraj jumped out of the autorickshaw in which he was travelling with the police escort. He had been arrested by the city police in the connection with various cases.
