IIMB hosts industry panel discussion

The biggest challenge before those who advocate the use of information and communication technology (ICT) for social problems is inclusivity, concluded industry experts.

At an industry panel discussion hosted by IIMB on Friday, Srinivas Padmanabhuni, vice-president, ACM India, stressed on the need to have inclusive systems to accommodate the differently-abled community.

Pramod Varma, chief architect of Aadhaar project, said the objectives of the UIDAI has been inclusivity, simplicity and online availability. “People had to shift from cards to cardless identities,” Varma said.
