Staying hot when it's cool

As winter kicks in, most of us are left wondering on how to look our best despite the layers of warm clothing. An easy way is to rush to a mall and stack up your wardrobe with expensive buys. But, if you don’t want to splurge, the other option is to mix and match. Who said you can't pick up a few pieces from your spring collection and throw them on to make a statement?Pick from these three looks that’ll work right for this season
Staying hot when it's cool

The quirky

Carry forward your jumpsuits. It is the perfect outfit for light winters. If you are going to buy a few, get ones with full or elbow sleeves. If your pants are high-waisted, team your suit with a cropped wrap. Closed heeled shoes or flats go best with the look.

The jegging

If jeans seem like a boring option, then jeggings are your best friend. A pair of these in shades of green teamed with soft denim jackets in either the classic blue or cream and flat suede Oxfords will make you look like a style diva. To add to the oomph factor, slide on  a pair of thick rimmed glasses. A big brown sling bag completes the look.

the partygoer

This is the season to show off your curves in body hugging full-sleeved knee length dresses. Opt for dark colours like grey, burgundy or deep purple. Team these with funky pumps in bright hues. You can ditch the kohl and colour your lips in shades of red instead. A heavily sequined jacket can be experimented with too. Since your dress is in a solid colour, you don’t have to worry about looking over dressed.
