The family of a four-year-old girl on Thursday filed a police complaint against the child’s teenage cousin, alleging that he had raped her at her house in Thotagere village at Nelamangala.
The boy, who is studying a diploma course, had been staying with the girl’s family. A senior police official said that the child was sexually assaulted two weeks ago.
The victim’s mother asked the boy to take care of her as she was going out of the house often. The boy took advantage of this and raped her. When the mother returned home and saw the child crying, she took her to a hospital, where doctors found out that she had been sexually assaulted.
