A woman gave birth to a baby girl in the corridors of K C General Hospital around 11.30 am on Thursday after the hospital authorities allegedly delayed her admission.
While Bharathi and her husband Deepak were rushing around to complete the formalities, she delivered in the corridors of the hospital itself.
Vimala Patil, Medical Superintendent, KC General Hospital, said, “The matter has been blown out of proportion. The mother was ignorant and she neglected her health. Her haemoglobin level was also very low. She should have come a bit earlier when the pain started. The hospital is not at fault.”
