BESCOM to Bear Medical Expenses

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) on Sunday said it would bear the medical expenses of the four people who were injured when hot oil from a transformer fell on them near the BMTC bus stand at Koramangala on Saturday.

The transformer, located at Patel Ramaiah Complex burst injuring four people who were passing by. The explosion might have been caused by an internal fault in the transformer windings resulting in heating of the oil, a press release said.
