Youngsters Get a Taste of Politics

Three days before the state goes to the polls, youths from the city on Monday voted in a mock election as part of an internship in politics started by Professor Rajiv Gowda.

These interns have been gathering at Studio Chaape for the last two months and interacting with politicians. These interactions also consisted of interviews during which the interns learnt how politicians deal with issues. They also got to know about the electoral system.

The youngsters then formed two political parties among themselves and created logos, slogans, manifestos and campaigned for their parties.

They debated on key issues in front of audience and voting followed soon after on Monday.
