A 39-year-old employee of Stumpp, Schuele and Somappa Springs Company died on the spot after being run over by a BMTC bus in Jayanagar on Wednesday.
The incident took place around 2.15 pm. According to Jayanagar police, B N Krishna Murthy, a resident of JP Nagar, was riding his bike when a mentally ill person suddenly jumped in front of his bike. Although he tried to avoid hitting the person, he lost balance after hitting him and fell. He was then run over by the BMTC bus.
