Ego Puts a Lock on the Intellect

Humility comes from understanding that the force behind whatever help you give to others comes not from you but from the power of love. It is not true that if you are humble others will walk all over you. It is when there is no humility that you can be easily influenced by others and things seem difficult. But when there is humility,  there is also the power of truth. You know internally that you will achieve your aim, regardless of what others think. A humble person never feels they are bowing to others. The head is neither held high, nor lowered - just straight ahead, like an angel. humility reveals your truth.

Ego makes you criticise others and get caught up in a web. Ego puts a lock on the intellect, obscuring your own responsibility: it says, “It is your fault, it has nothing to do with me.” Humility is the key to this lock. It frees you from self-deception. Humility allows you to hear and obey your conscience. With humility there is the power of realisation, which allows transformation to take place. The soul can recognize a mistake in a second. It’s easy to settle any argument easily - “OK, I’m wrong...”

Humility makes the heart honest, big and clean. It enables you to be co-operative and have easy relationships with everyone. Humility enables you to win God’s heart, the hearts of others and even your own heart! Inner conflict with your own feelings finishes, so confusion and difficulties also end. There is contentment, faith and the feeling of love for everyone.
