68th I-Day Celebrations at L M Dadha School

CHENNAI: L M Dadha  Sr Sec School  celebrated the 68th Independence Day on August 15 with great enthusiasm. The programme started with the unfurling of the Tricolour by T Vipranarayanan, Retd Headmaster, Hindu High School, Triplicane.

Students took a freedom pledge on the occasion. This was followed by a colourful presentation of cultural events. The school choir presented national patriotic songs. A Tamil skit Bharathiyar Meendum Vandhal and an English Skit Unity in Diversity were presented by the students.

Principal T K Niranjana welcomed the chief guest and the audience. The chief guest called upon the students to strive hard to sustain the independence that was won by our freedom fighting forefathers. Correspondent Chandra Nahata presented a memento to the chief guest. The programme ended with a vote of thanks.
