School Marks I-Day With Its Pearl Anniversary

CHENNAI: Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and a spirit of patriotism at MCC Campus Matriculation School, East Tambaram. This is the Pearl anniversary (30th) of the school. Correspondent K Palani conveyed his greetings to everyone. Principal Y Saira Banu welcomed those present. K Mohan Doss, a senior professor in the Department of Chemistry, MCC, was the chief guest.

He hoisted the national flag and addressed the gathering. Saying that today’s students are the leaders of tomorrow, he urged them to take pride in being Indian and cultivate the quality of sincere perseverance. He quoted Mahatma Gandhi as an example. The Independence Day celebration was attended by students who came along with their parents and grandparents.
