Passing-out Parade Held

The Passing-out Parade (POP) of Permanent Commission and Short-service Commission

BANGALORE: The Passing-out Parade (POP) of Permanent Commission and Short-service Commission Aeronautical Engineering course students was held at the Air Force Technical College in Jalahalli on Friday. The batch comprised of 130 officers, including 43 women, who passed out after one year of training.

Air Marshal P Kanakaraj, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Maintenance Command, said engineers play a critical role in maintenance of aircraft and other weapon systems of the Indian Air Force.

He called upon the young officers to build strong teams, display exemplary leadership and nurture professional excellence. On the occasion, the prestigious President’s Plaque for best all-round officer in Aeronautical Engineering Course (first in overall order of merit) was presented to Flying Officer Prakash Sadasivan.

The Vice President’s sword for second best all-round officer was presented to  Flying Officer Rahul Singh. The Chief of Air Staff Medal for best in Aeronautical Engineering Course from electronics stream was presented to Flying Officer Prakash Sadasivan.

The Chief of Air staff Medal for best in Aeronautical Engineering course from mechanical stream was presented to  Flying Officer Shubend Prasad Valodi.
