BANGALORE: The People’s Committee For Social Justice on Saturday accused the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) of allotting a CA (Civic Amenity) site at NGEF Layout in Banasawadi to a woman as an alternative site. The BDA had acquired land belonging to R Gangamma of Jayaprakash Nagar for the Jayaprakash Nagar 9th Phase layout project without including it in the notification.
Gangamma approached the High Court and got an order in her favour directing BDA to allot her alternative land. The BDA later allotted her 4.62 guntas of land, which was earmarked as a CA site. Such sites can be used for public purposes only, the Committee pointed out.
