BANGALORE: I need a full day to talk about my father V Ravichandran, as I have so many things to say. He is the best father. He gets me what I want and even before I ask, it is there for me. Once I told him, I want to be a cricketer, and I have lost count of the number of cricket kits he has bought for me. He got me cricket bats almost every week. Even today he takes me shopping and asks me what I like but then goes on selecting what he likes. If I want two shirts, he buys 10 shirts for me.
He reads my face and mind so well, that he knows, what I am up to. I am scared to face him, when I have made a mistake. He never behaves like a star and has always taught me to be down to earth. He has told me to mingle with people and has advised me to interact with fans.
No occasion is special without him and every moment is wonderful with him. He has never imposed his ideas on us and has always taught us to speak our mind. Recently, when he launched me on the stage and put his hand on my head, I had tears in my eyes. I was so emotional that I couldn’t speak. Because of him, I am who I am.
