BANGALORE: As many as 432 engineering seats at PES University, formerly PES Institute of Technology, will be added to the Common Entrance Test seat matrix on Friday, Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) executive director Ramegowda said. According to the PES University Act, 2012, 40 per cent of its intake should be provided for admissions through the CET. “We have already clarified the matter and 432 seats out of their intake of 1,080 will be added to the pool,” he said. Forty per cent of seats from MS Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (120 seats) is likely to be included in the seat matrix as well, he added.

As on Thursday, the number of engineering seats available under the government quota is 58,162, up from 50,742.

With the online entry of options ending 11 am on Friday, there is no change in the medical seats tally, which has remained at 1,803. The number of dental seats have increased to 782, according to a KEA release. Only 14,144 candidates have entered 2.94 lakh medical seat options till Thursday compared to 66,456 engineering aspirants who have entered 34.15 lakh options.
