BANGALORE: Family members of Mariam Kausar, who slipped into a comatose condition following alleged medical negligence at Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Trauma and Orthopaedics, claimed  that no support has been forthcoming from the government.

Though the family communicated to the Chief Minister’s office on the girl’s condition and requested to move the child to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore for further treatment under the State government’s expense, the CM has claimed it has not come to his notice, they said.

B S Rafiullah, Mariam’s uncle, said they had sent the required documents to the CM’s office and also kept the Health Minister office in the loop, but no help has been forthcoming so far.
