BANGALORE: The High Court directed Darpan Jain, Special Commissioner who was exclusively appointed to look after the solid waste management (SWM) in BBMP, to visit all waste segregation units, including those in Mandur, and file a report on steps to be taken to manage the garbage in the city.
A division bench comprising Justice N Kumar and Justice B V Nagarathna, which is hearing several cases related to garbage management, directed Jain to personally visit all the segregation units and understand their present condition.
The bench also directed him to go through all the orders passed by the court about solving the garbage problem in the city.
The bench further directed to give suggestions about solving the garbage problem in the next date of hearing (July 17).
