RGUHS Exams Postponed

The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) has postponed the examinations for post-graduate medical, dental, M Pharm and nursing courses in the last minute.

The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) has postponed the examinations for post-graduate medical, dental, M Pharm and nursing courses in the last minute.

The decision was taken at the Syndicate meeting held on Saturday. According to official sources, due to non-approval of admissions, hall tickets were not issued to many students.

“The state government had directed us not to approve the admissions of students who have joined colleges which have not fulfilled the norms. But now, many students are approaching the court and getting permission to write the exams. Following this, we have decided to postpone the exams and permit all the students to take write it,” said the source.

As per information, RGUHS has 370 colleges offering M Sc nursing, but only 77 colleges have 100-bed hospitals, which is mandatory to admit students.

The syndicate meeting held two days ago decided not to allow students to write exams, but the special syndicate held on Saturday took the decision in the interest of students and postponed the exams. As per the revised schedule, PG medical, dental exams will begin from May 8 and M Pharm and M Sc nursing exams from May 13.
