BANGALORE: The nominees of KiMA 2014 - Kannada International Music Awards (KiMA Awards) were announced on Tuesday. KiMA is an effort by TAURIAN to recognise Kannada music released for the first time between January 2013 to December 2013.
The nominees are shortlisted by KiMA’s jury panel, which comprises artistes like Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar, V Manohar, Kasturi Shankar, Pravin Godkhindi and Praveen D Rao, after screening hundreds of entries sent during the registration period.
Music composers, singers, lyricists and technicians from film, non-film and technical categories registered for the nominations online.
Among the major films that were released during the eligibility period of the awards, the leading nominations are
Simple Aagondh Love Story, Lucia, Kumbha Rashi and Bul Bul. The winners will decided by public voting through the website and SMS, which will begin on May 23 and extend till June 1.
