BANGALORE: The body of a 24-year-old call centre employee was found hanging at her house on Tuesday afternoon. The deceased Monica  was employed with Accenture and police suspect a failed love affair led to her death.

No suicide note was found. Monica did not go to work on Tuesday and remained in her room all afternoon. Her body was discovered when her father, on getting no response to his calls, broke open the door.

“We are not sure but according to her parents, she has been depressed for a while. She has been getting proposals which she didn’t accept and we are looking at this angle,” Banaswadi police officials said.

Helmetless Rider Dies in Accident

An overspeeding 21-year-old youth lost control of his motorcycle and was killed when the two-wheeler crashed into other vehicles near Hulimavu Gate on Bannerghatta Road on Tuesday.

The deceased, Shekar, a resident of Weavers’ Colony, was on his way to work at a duplicate keymaker’s shop near Arakere around 9.30 am. Sudhakar (24), who was riding pillion, was injured in the accident.

Police said Shekar was thrown 4-5 feet in the air before he landed and hit a stone. Shekar, instead of wearing the helmet on his head, had slung it in his hand. Passersby rushed the two to a hospital, but Shekar was declared brought dead.
