Chettinad School Hosts inter-school Model UN Meet

CHENNAI: Chettinad Hari Shree Vidyalayam (CHSV) hosted its first Inter-school Model United Nations Conference on Saturday and Sunday.

It is closely modelled on the actual UN conference, with student delegates representing various nations gathering to discuss matters affecting the world in general. The conference culminates with the passing of resolutions on the issues discussed. It is an ideal opportunity to hone leadership skills and motivate students to research global issues in depth.

The CHSV Model United Nations-2014 was conducted with the participation of about 100 student delegates across seven committees. The conference saw the participation of ten city schools: A M M Matric Hr Secondary School, Chettinad Vidyashram, Chettinad Vidya Mandir in Karur, Chettinad Hari Shree Vidyalayam, National Public School, P S Senior Sec School, PSSBB Senior Sec School in K K Nagar, Sishya in Adyar and OMR, and Sri Sankara Vidhyashram.
