KSHRC Chief Meets BMCRI Doctors

BENGALURU: Karnataka State Human Rights Commission (KSHRC) chairperson Meera C Saksena met doctors  and officials of Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute on Wednesday to discuss the conditions at Victoria Hospital.

The proposal to shift the casualty ward came up for discussion as the doctors want to house just the burns ward in the present building and eliminate the risk of infection from persons admitted to or visitors coming to the casualty ward.

As the deadline sought by the hospital for the completion of the task (February 15) is approaching, a review meeting will be held soon.

Saksena enquired about the petty shops outside the hospital and asked officials to seek BBMP’s help to put up permanent barricades in the area.

“If this is done, then customers of petty shops spilling on to the road can be prevented,” she said.
