BENGALURU: Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) director P S Subramanyam stressed on the need to raise the quality and reliability of military aviation projects so that the country can become a global player. He was speaking at a workshop on aerospace quality and reliability organised by the Society for Aerospace Quality and Reliability on Monday.
Aeronautical Systems director-general K Tamilmani, who delivered the keynote address, highlighted the contribution of structured quality and reliability practices in the success of indigenous aeronautical projects. He advocated self-certification by the Indian aeronautical industry to enable and empower quality and reliable personnel.
In all, around 180 participants from the Defence Research and Development Organisation, Indian Space Research Organisation, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, National Aerospace Laboratory, private industries and academic institutions attended the event. Speakers shared the best practices and the lessons learnt in Indian aerospace projects.
