Ego is Subdued With Guru Seva

BENGALURU: We look at people with our own filters. For a person who has jaundice, everybody starts looking yellow. The anecdote from Mahabharata also proves the same truth. When Duryodhana and Dharmaraja were asked to recognise one bad person and one good person respectively, the former could find not single good person, the latter could not find a single bad person in his kingdom. Both of them were judging others from their own ego-filter. For one who has engaged in Guru Seva and Atma Sadhana under the Guru’s guidance, the ego is subdued, and the soul or Atma Guru starts shining froth. So such a person sees everything with  ‘Viveka Chakshu’. That is he sees pure nectar or amrita in the Guru’s form. Thus, in the shloka, Lord Shiva throws light on the reflection of the seer’s own level of evolution of consciousness.
