Financier’s House Raided, Papers Seized

BENGALURU: Yelahanka police on Saturday raided the house of a financier and seized `39 lakh and documents. However, the accused managed to escape.

Police said that Nagaraja Gowda, a resident of Gandhinagar 2nd Main in Yelahanka, was running an illegal finance business.

He used to harass people by charging exorbitant interest rates of anywhere between 10 to 15 per cent on loans.

In return, he used to collect property documents, cheques and valuables as collateral.
