BENGALURU: I live by the rule that less is more especially when it comes to jewellery. I have always had a fascination for nose pins and their many variations across regions and cultures. There are so many kinds! Urban women however tend to mostly wear small nose pins or a thin rings and shy away from anything elaborate.
But I feel the lovely nose studs that I chanced upon at Levitate, one of my favorite kitsch shops are perfect and absolute fun to wear. They are a little bigger yet not overpowering so if it’s a wedding that you are attending, these would be my choice to create a little spark and accessorise your Indian outfit with.
You could pair one with a little flower in your hair, kohl -lined eyes, bronze make-up and a bindi. These nose pins could go with anything if worn with confidence. They would add so much character to a bohemian look too. Imagine yourself at a Sunday brunch or on the beach with open hair, a beaded or floral long necklace, big hoop earrings, a maxi dress and last but not least, the nose pin and you are ready with another perfect look! In the end, it really is not about what your wear but how you wear it.
