BENGALURU: The II Additional City Civil and Sessions Court on Saturday sentenced a man to three-and-a-half years of simple imprisonment for molesting a six-year-old in October 2012.
C Narasimharaju (40), a resident of Katriguppe, was convicted with a penalty of `10,000. Narasimharaju was playing with the victim on October 27, 2012. He lured the girl into his house and tried to rape her. Luckily, the girl escaped and ran to her grandmother and narrated the entire episode. Later, a complaint was filed. He was arrested on November 4, 2012 and was remanded in judicial custody.
