Realtor Hacked to Death Over Debt

BENGALURU: A 48-year-old realtor was attacked by four men at Vittal Nagar in Kumaraswamy Layout on Saturday. A financial dispute is said to be the reason.

The victim, Ramakrishna, was a resident of KS Layout and was running a finance and real estate business.

Police said the incident took place around 7.30 pm when Ramakrishna was at his office with his assistant Gopal. Prasad, also a realtor, met him and asked him to come out of the office. But Ramakrishna told him he had some work and would come later.

Prasad left but after a while, contacted Ramakrishna over phone and asked him to collect money from a person. Ramakrishna, along with Gopal, went to the said place on his bike and while he was getting off the vehicle, Prasad, along with three others, attacked him with a machete and escaped.

Ramakrishna was rushed to a private hospital, where he was declared brought dead. Ramakrishna is said to have borrowed some money from Prasad, but had been deferring repayment. 

Gang Murders Rowdy-sheeter

A gang of unidentified men barged into a 28-year-old rowdy-sheeter’s house in Attibele near Anekal and murdered him in the wee hours of Saturday. Police suspect a long-standing grudge to be the reason.

The deceased is Abhishek, a resident of Ramachandra Nagar, Attibele. He had been involved in a few criminal activities over the years.

According to police sources, Abhishek was home alone when the assailants barged into his house. They strangled him after stabbing him multiple times. Abhishek’s father found his body in pool of blood on returning home from work.

Attibele police said the assailants had planned the murder well in advance.
