BENGALURU: Five couples went out for dinner on Saturday night. But soon the outing turned into a nightmare for the wives who were cruising along in a separate car. The night of horror began for them when they stopped at a milk bar after dinner to have ice cream as one of them who was pregnant wished to have it.

The incident happened in the heart of the city, bang on MG Road. It was just 11.30 pm. Three men had followed the car and two joined them later and all five started harassing the women.

Speaking to Express, one of the victims narrated their terrifying experience. She said that she and her four friends went to Lakeview milk bar after dinner at a restaurant on Lavelle Road while their husbands went to get another car parked at Residency Road.

The waiters at the milk bar asked their car driver to park the vehicle in front of the joint as space was available. The driver did so and went to place the order.

The woman said that they were in an Innova and the doors were locked as the AC was on.

Meanwhile, three men came near the car and stared at them, she said. They then started banging on the car asking them to open the door.

She said they were terrified and tried to raise an alarm. But the men, meanwhile, called two of their friends over phone and asked them to come there. After a while, one of the men took out a sharp weapon from his pocket and threatened to break open the glass, she said.

However, the men escaped when they shouted for help. She said they called their husbands and alerted them. They soon arrived and took them to Cubbon Park police station.
